High Precision Ball Slides

DESIGN CRITERTIA:
Ball slides are mechanically simple linear motion devices comprised of a stationary base member with a mobile carriage riding on top. Two rows of hardened stainless steel balls on both sides of the base provide the smooth, accurate, low friction sliding motion between the stationary base and the top slide. Each row of bearings is contained between four hardened and precision ground stainless steel rods.

These bearing assemblies are factory preloaded to eliminate wobble and unwanted play in the system.

Linear Ball Slides are used in a multiple of light and compact applications. Nordex Ball Slides assemblies provide near frictionless, accurate linear motion with high repeatability in a lightweight compact design. Typical Ball Slide applications include medical analyzing and testing machines, semiconductor and electronic chip processing equipment, printers, plotters, peripherals, assembly systems, lasers and optical assemblies. 

• Nordex Hi-Precision Ball slides are available in Sub-Miniature, Miniature and Standard designs. 

• Our sub-miniature Series has a dynamic load of 90 – 590 N. and 5 to 28mm stroke.

• The Miniature series has a load capacity of 4 to 30 lbs. and .5 to 4.0 inch travel. with .00025 in./in. straight line accuracy. 

• The Standard series has a .5 inch travel, 6 lb. load capacity and .0008 in./in. straight line accuracy. 

• Other Ball Slide Assemblies available with .75 to 4.00 inch travel with a load capacity of 15 to 118 pounds. Straight line accuracy .0005/" travel.
